Privacy Policy

How the EmojiClip website and extension handle local data, cookies, Google services, and privacy choices.

Last Updated: · EmojiClip

This policy applies to emojiclip.com and the EmojiClip browser extension. Last updated: July 26, 2026.

Functional website data

Search and copying require no account. The site may save dark-mode choice, language preference, recently used emoji, and the emoji clipboard draft in browser local storage so the interface can restore its state. Your browser controls this information; clearing site data removes it.

Browser extension data

The extension uses storage to keep the theme, skin tone, usage counts, last-used times, popup settings, favorites, groups, combinations, and clipboard draft in the browser. These records restore the interface and provide recent and frequently used emoji; removing the extension or clearing its data deletes them. clipboardWrite handles user-requested copying and copy fallback after an insertion failure.

Chrome/Edge use activeTab and scripting; Firefox uses activeTab and tabs.executeScript. These page capabilities connect temporarily to the current tab only after the user invokes fast mode or Auto Insert. They process the active editable field, caret, and selection to insert user-selected Unicode text at the requested position. Editable-field content is processed only in the current tab’s memory, is not written to extension storage, and is not sent to EmojiClip or any third party. Password fields are not supported. The extension declares no sidePanel, host permissions, or persistent content scripts and does not read page content unrelated to the active editing target.

Extension settings, drafts, favorites, groups, combinations, and emoji usage records are never uploaded, sold, or shared with third parties. All extension data stays in the user’s local browser storage.

Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to understand page visits, device categories, language, and aggregate usage trends. Google may process cookies, local storage, IP addresses, browser or device identifiers, and visit events. Google Consent Mode is enabled. Advertising and analytics storage default to denied until applicable consent is available; Google tags may send basic cookieless measurement signals.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

The site loads Google AdSense code for site review, compliance messages, and advertising after approval. Google and its advertising technology partners may place or read cookies and use web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to serve, limit, measure, or personalize ads. Personalized advertising is used only when consent signals required by law and Google policy allow it. See How Google uses information from partner sites or apps.

Cloudflare and server logs

Cloudflare provides hosting delivery and security. It may process IP addresses, request times, browser information, and security logs to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures. We do not use these logs to create personal emoji-use profiles.

For visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, a Google-certified CMP presents a European regulations message with Consent, Do not consent, and Manage options choices. Browser controls can block or delete cookies; clearing site data may remove saved preferences and cause the consent choices to appear again.

Retention, security, and sharing

EmojiClip does not sell personal information. Data is processed only for operation, security, legal compliance, and the third-party services described above. Third parties apply their own retention policies. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet transmission is absolutely secure.

Children, changes, and contact

EmojiClip is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. Material changes will update the date on this page. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.
